Is your business legal?


Home Processors are exempt from the 20-C Food Processing License and are considered registered with New York State. The company, The Sugar Fairy Bakes, is a limited liability company (LLC) and operates under a DBA, The Sugar Fairy Bakes. I work under a EIN.




How do I make a purchase?


You may place an online order off my Daily Special Menu (www.thesugarfairybakes.com/dailyspecials) or Holiday Menu (when offered) (www.thesugarfairybakes.com/holidays). During the summer months and early fall, when weather permits, I offer a monthly Pie Tent Sale at my home. These tent sales will be posted in the “event” section here on the website as well as on Facebook. On occasion, I also participate at local flea markets, craft shows and farmer markets. Daily Specials: I offer pre-ordered daily specials which include choice of local no contact delivery as well as no contact pick up. All daily specials are advance order only, nothing can be ordered day of special. For guaranteed availability of a daily special, it is strongly recommended you place your order as soon as the new week goes live, (the Friday before the upcoming weeks specials) To place an order or for more info visit www.thesugarfairybakes.com/dailyspecials This will bring you to the online bakery store. The Daily Specials will pop up. Double click on the special you are interested in, and “add it” to your cart. Just like ordering on Amazon! All payments are required at time of ordering. Payments are made when checking out. Holiday Orders: I offer specific holiday offerings for each holiday. (Sorry custom orders are not accepted). Do you deliver?


YES! Delivery is available for daily Specials ONLY, and available for specific locations. **** Please note delivery location is based on city limits NOT zip code. (To help determine if you are within the city limits consider the school district you are located in.) For example, Rt 9 Malta, near the old Tree Pad is considered Malta not Mechanicville even if the area shares the 12118-zip code. If you do not meet the minimum requirement there are other delivery options such as a small delivery fee and grouping your orders together. Please see “delivery” on the website, under online ordering for details. Thank you for respecting my time and understanding that I am a one man show. Mechanicville School District FREE delivery ($10 minimum order) Stillwater School District FREE delivery ($10 minimum) Currently I deliver to the Village (Hudson Ave and adjacent side streets) of Stillwater only. The Lake area and other SSD areas are pick up. Schaghticoke Village area From Stewarts to the old Prospectors. All others please pick up FREE Delivery ($20 minimum) Halfmoon, Shen School District only. If you are Mechanicville SD, use Mechanicville for the shipping location. ( $20 minimum Malta Rt 9 area as far as CVS and Price chopper. FREE delivery ($30 minimum) All of Clifton Park, non, town of Halfmoon, is pick up only I’m sorry but I do not deliver South of the Twin Bridges, or North of Malta Drive Ins All customers are welcome to no contact porch pick up. Pick up time and address will be provided to you in a “order ready” email once your order is completed. Pick up time changes daily based on how busy my kitchen is that day, but is typically starting around 3pm. Being this is my home, out of respect I ask that you not pick up after 7pm. If you are unable to get your order during the allocated time frame, please come the following day after 7 am. Orders not picked up within 24 hours will be donated. Please be mindful of the weather when choosing porch pick up. Although items are waiting for you in the Bakery Pick Up Box, the box is outside. The box helps to protect your order against the outdoor elements such a rain, snow and heat but it is best to get your order asap. In addition for those who are within the delivery area, you are welcome to pay a delivery fee to reach the minimum requirement for free delivery. or grouping several days specials into one day of delivery to meet minimum requirement for free delivery. This is not the Market Place or Craigslist. I am a reputable business serving a large number of customers daily, and I am on a extremely tight schedule, delivering in several directions daily. For these reasons I can not “meet up” or “meet you halfway” to deliver your purchase. If you do not fall within the delivery area then you must pick up. Gift of Caring Donation / Condolence Gifts delivery’s will be on a case by case basis. Please message me with details of your need and we will go from there. I will do whatever I can to help accommodate your need. As a reminder, everything is made fresh day of delivery. After all baking and packaging is completed is when deliveries go out and when pickups are available. Typically, this is in the 3:00 pm hour, but this may change from day to day. You will receive an ORDER READY email once your order is ready for pick up or is out for delivery. Please wait for this email prior to arriving to pick up. Pick up may result in you receiving your item sooner, inquire day of. If you need a specific pick up time, please make that request noted on your order and I will respond with availability one I know. A request is not a guarantee.

Can I see a menu?

Daily Specials are typically advertised on Facebook and open on the website for ordering, on Friday for the upcoming week, which runs Sunday - Saturday. How do I pay for my order?


Effective June 1st, 2020, all DAILY SPECIAL orders will be placed and paid for, on my website www.thesugarfairybakes.com The safe and secure website accepts all major credit/debit cards, as well as Pay Pal. This is the only way to pay for a daily special. For event sales (my summer pie tent sales for example) Venmo, Square, and cash money is accepted. I am sorry but I do not accept personal checks.




Do you make Allergen Free or Diet Specialty products?


No. Although I am extremely careful, there is always the potential for cross-contact of allergens as I can provide NO guarantees. Furthermore, my kitchen actively uses nuts. If you have a food allergy of any kind, it is purchase at your own risk. Although I have a few items on my menu that could technically fall into some of these categories (See my Summit Snack Line), I do not offer a gluten-free, sugar-free, keto or vegan friendly items at this time.




Why are your prices higher than the Grocery Store Bakery?


You cannot compare my items to those found at a grocery store, Walmart, or wholesale club bakery. That is like comparing Apples to Bananas. While I am not offended if I do not fit into your budget, you need to understand that with me you are paying for QUALITY. Everything I make is 100% from scratch. Nothing is frozen or comes out of a box/can. Whenever possible I try to use fresh ingredients from local farms. I use butter not shortening. My prices not only account for the quality ingredients used, and the craftsmanship that goes into creating my bakes, but it also covers the cost of my tools, utilities, self-employment taxes, liability insurance, the hours actually spent designing your order, time spent shopping for supplies for you order, hours creating your order, hours cleaning up from your order, packaging for your order, and if I'm lucky there is a little leftover to go towards supporting my family. You do not haggle with your hairdresser, doctor, plumber, or local restaurant. You are not asked to work for less, so please do not ask me to work for less. Baking is a labor of love, but love doesn't pay the bills.




What if I am unhappy with the product I received?


I put so much care, dedication and attention to detail and everything that I make that a unhappy customer is so rare they are basically nonexistent. Each and every order is treated equally, demanding the same amount of quality as anything else I make. If I personally am not 110% satisfied with the outcome of a product, I do not put it out there in the customers hands. However sometimes things do go unnoticed, and mistakes happen. I am human after all. In the event you are ever unsatisfied with one of my products please, please let me know IMMEDIATELY. Return the product to me right away and we will discuss what went wrong, and I will offer solutions on how to make it right. Unfortunately, if you wait 2,3,4 or more days to bring it to my attention and you no longer have the product to return to me, there is not much I can do to make things right. If you transport your bakes incorrectly, or store them incorrectly, there is also nothing I can do. But if the product is not up to my usual standard due to my wrongdoing, I want to make it right. So please keep this in mind should you ever run into an issue with one of my bakes.




How do I cancel my order and get a refund?


Daily Specials and Holiday Orders are limited time items with limited quantities available. For this reason, cancellations are not accepted, and no refunds or credits will be given. The only exception is if TSFB cannot fulfill the order due to illness, emergency, or Act of God, at which point the customer will be offered a choice of a full refund or bakery credit. Custom Orders take up limited availability on the bakery's schedule and often require special advance purchases by the bakery (boxes, toppers, decals, colors, etc.). For these reasons cancellation in writing is required no later than 3 weeks prior to the order due date. At this point a full refund will be given. Rescheduling for the exact same order for a later date (based on bakery’s availability) will be accepted on a case by case basis. Example of approved cases COVID-19 statewide lock down, death of immediate family member, Act of God. The only exception is if TSFB cannot fulfill the order due to illness, emergency, or Act Of God, at which point the customer will be offered choice of a full refund or bakery credit.
